CALSAGA news

CALSAGA member interviewed in San Diego newspaper

CALSAGA member Dave Katzenmeyer, President of Pacwest Security Services in Costa Mesa recently went on record with the San Diego Daily Transcript on the implementation of SB 194.  He was on message and did an exceptional job of representing the security industry.

In the piece, Katzenmeyer acknowledges that SB 194 was a good first step, but that proprietary security officers should also undergo the same training as private security officers (PSOs) so that "contract and proprietary [officers] will be trained equally to meet the highest standards possible."

As you know, CALSAGA was instrumental in passing SB 194 and we are currently looking into pursuing a legislative bill that would require PSOs to complete weapons of mass destruction and powers to arrest training.
