Board of Directors selects new Southern California Vice President Vacancy filled as former Southern California Vice President called to serve in Iraq Recently, CALSAGA Southern California Vice President Brian Fagan of Royal Security Services and a member of the United States Naval Reserve, was called to serve overseas in Iraq for at least six months. Fagan served on the CALSAGA Board of Directors (BOD) for the last few years and was instrumental in assisting CALSAGA in numerous areas including financial oversight and most notably, launching the Security Officers Memorial Fund. We wish him well, honor his service for our nation, and look forward to his safe return. His six-month absence necessitated his resignation and Southern California Vice President for CALSAGA. Pursuant to our by-laws, the CALSAGA Board was tasked with naming his replacement. Specifically, the by laws enumerate requirements for Executive Committee level positions on the Board, limiting those slots to members who have previously served on the BOD or as a Committee Chair for at least one year. The Board considered this appointment at its regularly scheduled April 12, 2007 meeting. CALSAGA is pleased to report that former Region 7 Director Roy Rahn from Shield Security, Inc was appointed as Southern California Vice President. Rahn is well-known in the private security industry and brings considerable experience and knowledge to the position. With the selection of Rahn to serve as Southern California Vice President, there is now a vacancy that needs to be filled in Region 7. To be eligible for the Board and Region 7, you must be a primary or secondary contact of a Company Member of CALSAGA and your company must reside in San Bernardino or Riverside County. If you would like to be considered for the position, please email a brief letter of interest no later than Monday, April 30 to William Hodges at whodges@calsaga.org.
