Speakers' Bureau meets with Sac ASIS

Speakers’ Bureau- Sacramento Chapter, American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Meeting

In an effort to continue to reach out into the community and promote the goals of our association, the CALSAGA Speakers’ Bureau gave a presentation to the Sacramento Chapter of ASIS on June 9, 2010. William Hodges, deputy association manager, and Danielle Vaticano, membership services director, were on hand to answer industry and association questions and meet with the nearly 30 ASIS members in attendance.

Introduced by Bryon Bayer, region I director and the 2010 Sacramento Chapter ASIS chairman, the presentation focused on how CALSAGA, as an association, has worked over the years to professionalize the private security industry through increased standards. Hodges discussed current issues facing the private security industry, and the legislative agenda CALSAGA has put forth to help increase accountability in California. Hodges also noted the many networking and educational opportunities CALSAGA offers to members, whether it be through seminars, regional meetings or the annual conference.

While we continue to schedule presentations with various organizations, we are always on the lookout for recommendations for groups that might be interested in scheduling a speaking engagement to learn more about our industry and association.

If you have any questions regarding the Speakers’ Bureau, or would like to recommend an organization or group, please contact Danielle Vaticano at (916) 930-0552 or via email at dvaticano@calsaga.org, with the name of the organization, location, and contact information.
