CALSAGA News

New CALSAGA social networking sites now available to view

As social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube seem to be revolutionizing the way the world receives up to the minute news and information, they also have become vital conduits of international networking, for both social and professional purposes. However, the purposes of these social media resources are often overlooked and frequently misused, resulting in stagnant Facebook pages that do little to support networking efforts, and Twitter accounts that are lost in cyberspace.

All too commonly associations and businesses create Facebook or Twitter accounts for the sole purpose of advertising their product or firm, but CALSAGA approaches the use of social media outlets much differently. Our goal is to present our members with social media resources that can help individuals connect with each other and build their businesses through our vast network of private security industry leaders.

Our Twitter page is designed to provide members with updated pertinent information.  For example, following CALSAGA’s Twitter account will allow you to stay current on the status of legislation and news affecting California’s private security industry.

While our Twitter page is more news and current events oriented, the CALSAGA Facebook page is intended to help members network with each other, providing a common stage to communicate industry issues and opportunities.

If you have not done so already, please follow us on Twitter, and join our Facebook page, http://tinyurl.com/lyly7e . If you don’t already have an account for these two resources, the set up is easy and the reward is priceless. We look forward to interacting with you through this great new resource for CALSAGA.

For any questions concerning the CALSAGA Twitter and/or Facebook page, or input on how we can make these pages better work for you, please contact Danielle Vaticano at dvaticano@calsaga.org or call (916) 930-0552.
