Association Manager Report -- April

You’ve heard the expression before - April showers bring May flowers. Well the rainy April, at least here in Sacramento, has been more than just the weather.  April’s been a busy month of planning for what will be an even busier May.

This month we saw a full  agenda of membership events, and the launch of a brand new training program and membership classification, while at the same time busily planning for PAC fundraisers, our Legislator of the Year Dinner, and planning for key legislative action.Truly, it’s hard to believe that we could fit all of the information you need to know in this one edition of the eNewsletter.

PAC Fundraiser and Reception

By this time you should have already received your invitation for the 2011 CALSAGA Security PAC Reception at Morton’s Steakhouse, May 4th 5:30, Sacramento. Political advocacy is one of the most important membership benefits, and without your support for the Security PAC, CALSAGA would not have the resources needed to continue to effectively participate in the political process.

CALSAGA Launches New Proprietary Membership and Training Curriculum

We’ve said it before; CALSAGA’s strength lies in the dedication of our nearly 300 company members representing over 60,000 officers statewide. Your involvement gives our organization the clout to ensure that our industry continues to increase professionalism and accountability in California, and really serving as the leaders in driving the increase in standards nationwide. With new laws and regulations bringing proprietary security in the regulated security environment, we have the opportunity to continue this drive to great industry standards in partnership with a whole new segment of the private security field.
