CALSAGA Membership Benefits

In the changing world of private security, California Private Patrol Operators need a strong presence and voice on our behalf. That presence is CALSAGA.

Member Benefits

Membership in the CALSAGA gives you:

  • Upgraded Legislative Advocacy – There has been a dramatic increase in legislation related to private security. We have upgraded our legislative advocacy efforts to ensure our voice is heard in the State Capitol.

  • Vastly Increased Political Action and Activity – Many of those targeting our industry are among the most politically powerful entities in California. We’re upgrading our political action arm with two new PACs to help support friendly elected officials and candidates. We are launching new efforts to motivate our grassroots army of 200,000 employees. And we are reaching out to allied industries to expand our influence and reach.

  • Self Insurance Group - CALSAGA is sponsoring a workers compensation selfinsurance group, estimated to save members almost 30% on their workers compensation costs.

  • AB 2880 Training Compliance - CALSAGA has designed a complete program to help members comply with the new Security Officer Training Law, including a full complement of training modules, and an online database to track officer's training records.

  • Affinity and Client Referral Programs – With all the pressure on your bottom line, CALSAGA membership can improve at both ends. Our discount and affinity programs can bring substantial savings on your costs, and our client referral programs can help bring in new business. Can you afford not to join CALSAGA?

  • Security Officer/Employee Relations Programs – We are offering new benefits to security officer employees of our member PPOs. Your employees, for as little as two dollars a month, will get benefits such as maintenance of training records, "guard card" renewal reminders, CALSAGA member gear, and discounts on many goods and services.

  • Upgraded BSIS/Regulatory Advocacy – Along with increased legislative advocacy, we’re stepping up our efforts to advocate for our industry at BSIS.

  • Political/Public Relations Specialists – Our industry is an essential component of homeland defense, and there are three times as many private security guards as sworn police officers in California. Along with managing our new lobbying effort, our political team is developing a public relations campaign to ensure our industry is recognized for the important work we do.
