Re:         BSIS Deputy Chief Rick Fong takes new position at Department of Consumer Affairs

In a note sent to the CALSAGA Board of Directors earlier today, BSIS Deputy Chief Rick Fong announced that effective immediately, he has taken a new position with the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) as Chief of the Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation, as well as the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair. 

For those who know Chief Fong or have had any interaction with him over the course of the last few years, this announcement will not really come as any surprise.  All of us considered him a bright mind, someone you could count on and definitely an integral part of the future of DCA.

I know many of our members, including our Board of Directors especially appreciated his commitment to investigating and cracking down on unlicensed activity in our industry.  While he will undoubtedly be missed, we thank him for his tireless work on improving our industry and wish him well in his new position.
