CALSAGA news

AB 2128 unanimously voted out of Assembly

As reported on Tuesday, CALSAGA sponsored AB 2128, authored by Assemblyman Ted Gaines (R-Roseville), was voted out of the Assembly Business and Professions Committee 11-0.  Click here to read the story.

We are thrilled to report that yesterday afternoon, the California State Assembly took up AB 2128 on the floor and voted 73-0 to move the bill.

Generally once a bill passes out of its committee, it’s usually referred to one or more committees for further consideration, but since AB 2128 has no fiscal impact to the State, it was immediately delivered to the Assembly floor.

AB 2128 will now move to the Senate Business, Professions & Economic Development Committee.  A hearing date is unknown at this point, but we’ll inform members once it is set.

Finally, thank you to all of our members who have informed us through email and phone calls that you’re happy that CALSAGA has decided to take this issue on.  We appreciate the support!
