CALSAGA Committees are vital to the implementation and successes of various association programs and agendas. Committee participation is voluntary, but once committed, members are expected to participate on committee calls, correspondence and events.The committee chair is appointed by the CALSAGA President and all chairs and members serve a one-year term. Committee members and chairs must be CALSAGA members in good-standing.

Financial Committee
Chair, Mark Miller
The Financial Committee works with CALSAGA staff to draft and finalize the annual association budget. Responsibilities include; vetting the annual budget and reporting to the board of directors on the fiscal status of the association.
Strategic Alliance Committee
Chair, Aleda Sebenick
The Strategic Alliance Committee reviews vendors for participation as partners in this program. Responsibilities included; vetting potential vendor services, managing partnership contracts, ensuring that partners are meeting their obligations to CALSAGA members and the association.
Legislative Committee
Chair, Mark Miller
The Legislative Committee sets the annual legislative agenda for CALSAGA. Responsibilities include; introducing and working to pass pass pro-industry bills, identifying and lobbying against anti-industry legislation, coordinating the annual CALSAGA Legislative Day and choosing the CALSAGA Legislator of the Year recipient.
Training Committee
Chair, Al Howenstein
The Training Committee manages CALSAGA's extensive library of training materials. Responsibilities include; monitoring state laws and regulations on training requirements, editing current training materials and drafting new modules.
Annual Conference Committee
Chair, Mark Miller
The Annual Conference Committee coordinates CALSAGA's largest event of the year. Responsibilities include; vetting venue contracts, managing event logistics, budgeting, marketing, day-of event management and post-event analysis.
Nominations and Elections Committee
Chair, Barry Bradley
The Nominations and Elections Committee manages the biennial election process for the association. Responsibilities include; setting election cycle dates, managing nominations, verifying nominee eligibility, distributing ballots, monitoring the actual election process at the Annual Conference and announcing campaign victors.
Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Liaison and Professional Standards Committee
Chair, David Chandler
The BSIS Liaison and Professional Standards Committee maintains an open and constant line of communication with the BSIS Chief. Responsibilities include; reporting updated BSIS developments to the board, working with the BSIS on enforcement and licensing issues and maintaining a good report with agents of the BSIS and Department of Consumer Affairs.
By-Laws Committee
Chair, Nils Welin
The By-Laws Committee monitors the association by-laws. Responsibilities include; ensuring that by-laws are followed in all aspects of CALSAGA management and making appropriate and board approved edits.
